Ladies,

WOW!! The 4th of July! Always filled with barbeques, fireworks, and beach fun. The Holiday just brings out all the joy we have for our country and our fellow Americans. I hope that each of you had a chance to celebrate the occasion with family and friends.

Last month at LUBO we conducted our second Annual Wine Tasting Fund Raising Event! Thanks to each of you and the support of our community partners, we raised additional funds for our scholarship and children literacy programs. It is always refreshing to see the outpouring of support for our organizational mission.

Our next meeting will be at Williams Sonoma's in Mac Arthur Mall where we will enjoy a cooking class and learn a few things that may help us in the kitchen. We then will move downstairs to Kincaids for dinner. As always, please feel free to invite a friend so that they can share the experience and learn more about EWI.

Although it is hard to believe, our year is almost over in October and so we will be kicking off our Nominating Committee activities to find applicants to serve on the Board. Board participation is a wonderful experience as it allows you to deepen your ties to the organization and volunteer your expertise to help the organization grow. I challenge each of you to begin considering how you might extend yourself in the upcoming year. EWI needs each of us to serve in this special role. Every Board brings new ideas, direction and energy to the organization. I hope that that we can inspire the membership in the months ahead. I look forward to seeing all of you at our July meeting
